Celebrities are Choosing Dental Veneers to Improve Their Smile

They say “The Best Smiles Reach Your Eyes” and it appears that celebrities, along with royalties, take this narrative rather seriously. Some of our beloved stars have undertaken extensive teeth shape transformations by replacing their old gears for striking new, most beautiful teeth, creating perfect smiles. Surprisingly, the overall image of their face is pretty remarkable—no wonder Dental Veneers are the new anti-aging dental procedure!

Nowadays, the rise of cosmetic treatments like Dental Veneers have become a pretty popular option; perhaps the opportunity to realign their teeth in only a few visits with the dentist plays a big part in their decision making. And, if you think about it, the teeth serve as the framework for the rest of the face making them considerably essential. In other words, getting your teeth fixed can be more effective than Botox.

At least this is what Dr Kligman states as he explains how a “Smile Lift” with porcelain veneers can be an alternative anti-aging procedure to plastic surgery. “The aim is to create harmony within the face and naturally restore youthfulness,” says Dr Kligman, who his celebrity clientele rely on him to craft camera-ready smiles.

Dr Kligman indicates that teeth develop the same way as the skin. “As time passes, the skin loses elastin and collagen, forming wrinkles and drooping the skin, which it is equivalent to what happens to the teeth. Teeth age, shift, wear down, get stain and discolouration, but, what most people do not know, is that teeth support the lower third of the face, and over the years the support starts to collapse.”

“Here is where the Smile Lift comes in, reestablishing the balance in the face is what I seek for all of my patients,” says Dr Kligman. “During a dental consultation, I carefully review and study all the components of the patient’s face to be able to achieve a harmonious natural smile. That means considering every trait, for example; the shape of the face, tooth colour, tooth size, age and skin tone. Collectively, I’m analysing how the teeth complement or withdraw from the overall perspective.

This process is called Facial Aesthetic Design, which is a way of balancing the age, wear and teeth discolouration that happens over time. By adjusting the position and refreshing the colour of the teeth to a more desirable state, will provide the necessary support to the lower part of the face, so the patient obtain a younger, more rejuvenated look.

Dr Kligman does not use the conventional method called smile design as most dentists do. He thinks that approach only concentrates on creating perfectly symmetrical teeth, which may not be the right fit for all patients, and could have an opposite disharmonious result.

His artistic skills enable him to create smile trials; by doing it this way, it allows patients to see how their future smile is going to look like, so they can provide him with their feedback before he completes the final permanent veneers. Then, the in-house dental laboratory’s ceramist replicates and creates a copy of his original work, to later, individually bond and place the porcelain veneers into their final spot to conclude the restoration.

Now you have got the facts and details from a prestige Sydney dentist on how Hollywood stars get their endless younger-looking appearance. And, if you are seeking to rejuvenate your face plus obtain a beautiful smile, pay a visit to Dr Kligman at his Sydney dental clinic, you will not regret it.
